Young Guns Battle to Finals at Louves du Nord Tournament

National Capital squad wins five of six games at July 18, 2026, tournament

MONTREAL — The National Capital Young Guns delivered a standout performance at the July 18 Louves du Nord tournament at Parc St-Laurent Avenue in Montreal, winning five of six games to advance to the finals.

The team showed consistency and determination throughout the event, entering the final game with an impressive 57 pts for and 0 against. The girls played with confidence, competed at a fast pace, and earned their place in the championship round after a strong showing against quality opponents.

In the final, the Young Guns faced an excellent Mavericks team in a hard-fought matchup that capped off a memorable day of competition. Although the championship game tested the team, the tournament gave the players a valuable opportunity to grow, compete, and showcase their skills.

“This tournament provided the girls with an opportunity to grow and compete in a number of fast-paced games against excellent competition,” Coach Young said. “Ultimately, it was their opportunity to shine — and they did just that, we are so proud of them.”
